Biography

Doug Soell, PT, DPT, OCS, Cert DN is the founder of Velocity Physical Therapy and has been helping patients return to the activities they love since 2005. He earned his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy with Outstanding Distinction from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and brings years of clinical leadership and hands-on experience to the Denton community. Before opening Velocity Physical Therapy, Doug served as both co-owner and clinical director of a successful outpatient orthopedic clinic in Oklahoma. He is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and has extensive experience in manual therapy and the McKenzie Method, allowing him to provide individualized, evidence-based care for a wide range of orthopedic conditions. Doug is passionate about building meaningful relationships with his patients and believes in treating each person with compassion, integrity, and personalized attention.

At the heart of Velocity is Doug’s calling to serve others with compassion, humility, and excellence. Inspired by the example of Christ, who came not to be served but to serve, Doug established Velocity on the belief that true leadership begins with putting others first. His passion is not only to help meet the physical needs of those he serves, but also to create an environment where employees of Velocity can grow, thrive, and find purpose in their careers. Doug is committed to building a culture centered on integrity, encouragement, and servant leadership—where every interaction becomes an opportunity to positively impact the lives of others and honor Christ through service.

“just as the son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28

Beyond the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Maegan, and their daughters, Saige and Maylin. Doug is also an avid Oklahoma Sooners football fan and enjoys golfing, hunting, and supporting local athletics.
